I was never entirely sure how much of a casual runners kind of girl I was. Personally I did not liken to this trend of fluro and bright runners that you would usually only see at the gym paired with non-gym clothing. For me casual meant converse and converse only but I am going to have to take back all of that and confess that this is one trend that has definitely caught my eye. Maybe not immediately, and sure it took me an entire season to jump on board but I like to adjust to trends in my own time. Personally for me, I love the black trainers and find that they can be worn with so many different things. My biggest fear was looking like a junkie or worse, people realizing that I don't run or jog and instantly pointing this out, but I recently purchased the New Balance 574 Classics and am so in love. I was in utter disbelief at how comfy they were when I tried them in the store, that I needed a few minutes to myself to fully comprehend that I wasn't walking on clouds; just wearing really comfortable shoes. This contrast to the chunky Windsor Smith cut out boots that I had been wearing the entire day, felt like an sweet indulgence to my poor feet. Needless to say, if there is an all black trainer out there with a nice chunky platform or sole, it is definitely on my wishlist.
